About Your Teacher...
I was born in The Netherlands and attended 2nd and 3rd grade at an American school in London, England. After moving back to the USA, my family settled down in California. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
I have lived in Texas for over 20 years. My husband and I have 5 children (1 attends Klein Cain) and two Goldendoodles named Daisy and Baxter (they are sister and brother).
I began working at Benignus Elementary in 2014. This will be my 7th year teaching 3rd grade.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, playing card & board games, paper crafting, traveling, shopping at Bath & Body Works, Hobby Lobby, and Target, and spending time at the beach. My favorite treats are Hershey's Kisses and Ice Breakers Grape Gum, and I love Dr. Pepper Zero. I am a big Houston Texans and Astros fan, and I enjoy watching these sports whenever I can.
Benignus Elementary is the best school around, and I'm excited to get to know each of my students this year. I am blessed to be part of the amazing staff here, surrounded by a very active, caring, and generous community!
My son, Hayden, and me at the Benignus Hoe Down in 2014.
